You may not know this about us, but we really love colour. It’s an essential part of who we are and a primary influence in all of our work. Logic would dictate then, that Instagram is a favourite of ours when it comes to social media. Great Instagram photographers inspire us, motivate us, and boost our creativity more with each new picture. Last year, we shared our favourite Instagram profiles and we couldn’t help but update our list! Here are a few Instragram stars that we’ve been loving lately (and that you should too).

Instagram is well known for its almost OCD-like focus on clean, bright, and beautiful imagery, and cimkedi is a perfect example. Otherwise known as Yener Torun, the Instabul-based architect has made the city his own personal canvas, resulting in an endless stream of crisp, colourful buildings, patterns, and urban odds and ends.

Seattle photographer Brittany Wright’s lesson for the Instagram community? Food is for more than just eating. Wright’s Instagram is a brilliant mix of colourful components, with a focus on sorting and photographing food items by colour. Examples include eggs, tomatoes, citrus fruits, and even macaroons. Karen is from San Francisco and her photography is every bit as bright and sunny as the California city. What’s interesting about Karen’s Instagram is the way in which she uses colour to illustrate life’s moments, from an intimate picture of her boyfriend showering to quality time spent with her pets. While each photo focuses on telling a story, colour makes them all that much more memorable.
